Welcome, wildflower.

Welcome, wildflower,
I am glad your path has led you here.
—of rosemary and time is an anthology of unfiltered reflections around the mess + magic of imperfect motherhood, creative living, and the process of crafting an Earth-conscious family life between rural Italy and the UK.
The name is inspired by a line from an old folk song, “Scarborough Fair” — parsley, sage, rosemary, and thyme. A lifelong childhood favourite of mine, it somehow became the theme song of my motherhood experience when I began humming it to myself and making up new rhymes even before my first daughter was born. The enchanting melody and the whimsical references to fairylands and garden herbs of this lullaby charm my baby girl into sweet dreams to this day. And for me, it remains a gentle reminder and an invitation to soften, lean into nature, and believe in magic.
Born out of the desire to break out of my own disenchantment with life, —of rosemary and time is an exercise in noticing quiet beauty, embracing slow living, and practicing the art of distilling magic from the mundane everyday. Every page of this digital scrapbook is a collage of memories, realizations, observations, occasional sketches, notes-to-self, and slightly out-of-focus photographs.
This is a tranquil space for me and for you — an invitation to allow life to flow a little slower and to embrace the glimmers of imperfect delight that every day brings. A chance to pause, observe, notice, and feel inspired.
I hope that reading these notes will inspire you to start observing the glints of ordinary bliss hidden in your own daily life, just waiting to be noticed.
With love,
Julia
